Here are a few ways to get started using your new .tv domain name! All of the site below make it easy to share your video on the web.
WordPress.com
- Go to WordPress.com and open an account
- Fill out your Profile, Change your URL and pick out a theme
- Create a post and upload your first video
- Build an audience by enabling your RSS feed and ping services (which lets search engines and services know that your blog has a new post!)
WordPress.org
- Use the WordPress 5-Step installation on your hosting service
- Change your domain's nameservers to the nameservers of your hosting company
- Under the Dashboard:
* Pick a theme
* Install Plugins - for video uploading, we recommend the Kaltura Video plug-in (you'll need to create a free account on Kaltura.com)
- Upload your first video post!
Tumblr
- Go to Tumblr.com
- Enter your email, a password, and pick a URL
- Sign up and start posting
- Under the "Customize" section, put your new .tv domain name under the "Info" tab
- Embed or upload your own video!
- Build your audience by listing yourself in the Tumblr Directory
Posterous
- Send an email to post@posterous.com
- An email will be sent back with the link to your new Posterous blog
- Under "Settings", select "Setup a custom domain for your site"
- Click on "How Do I Set This Up?" and follow the directions
- Start emailing videos on the go to your new Posterous blog
YouTube
- Redirect your new .tv domain name to your YouTube channel
